Earth Mother
This piece is pictured on the fallen oak log I took wood from to carve both faces and make the base.
It's a primitive piece without embellishments. Wet felted from merino and romney wools. 
I don't know how long the tree had been fallen. Covered in mosses and fungi and well on it's way to returning to mother nature as soil.
The wood was sterilized (heated/baked) and is sealed with mineral oil and beeswax.
